The Ballet national de Marseille is a creation of our contemporary. Roland Petit inaugurated this narrative in 1972, which finds new impetus in the appointment of (LA)HORDE as director of the Ballet in 2019. This book is the restitution of an archaeological excavation of the recent present, whose thread is the stage costume. We come across so many creations, encounters, and inspirations that form the identity of the Ballet, which is amazingly coherent. This open archive constitutes a subjective sum of the history of this singular Ballet, an exemplary resource, to make visible to all the diversity and the future of this living heritage.
