Efendim In Turkish, the word is a courtesy title historically used to address a notable, master, or lord. Today, it is most commonly used to mean “sir.”

Following his father's footsteps, the photographer documents the city of Istanbul through a series of richly composed and carefully crafted images. Produced over several years, the book is both a tribute to the city and an exploration of childhood and memory.
