Ten years already that my gaze has rested on Marseille, my adopted city. I explored this luminous territory in my own way, searching within the city and its colors for what reveals its beauty to my eyes. To travel in my own home—that was the feeling that guided me throughout this project. Step by step, photo by photo, I see it come to life through this book. Images of the street, images of life, as fragile and fleeting as all those moments that, strung together, make up the essence of existence. I photographed the energies and the color palette that, for me, define Marseille. Through the 78 photographs in this book, I tell the story of this city and my own story with it.
