Here by Richard McGuire was originally published in RAW magazine Vol. 2, #1, in 1989. This 6-page comic strip was reissued as a book by Loose Joints in 2015. Around that same time, Here, a 304-page graphic novel, was published. It gained international recognition, expanding the ideas of the original comic. Now, Here 1989 is Risograph printed and reissued by Fotokino.

Richard McGuire (born 1957) is an American illustrator, comic book artist, children's book author, and musician. His illustrations have been published in the New York Times, The New Yorker, and Le Monde. His short story Here is among the most lauded comic book stories from recent decades. McGuire is also a founding member and bassist for the band Liquid Liquid.
