Jean-Vincent Simonet's alchemical photographic practice involves reworking, overprinting and incorporating chance encounters with print processes to create dripping, saturated and hyper-real photographic works. For his first exhibition at Ensemble, Simonet presents a new twelve-panel immersive grid of floral works, Of Voices and Herbs. Denying the singularity of the image, each of these unique printworks exists as both a full image and twelve individual artworks.
Accompanying Of Voices and Herbs we are thrilled to present an accompanying selection of Simonet's artists' books to date, alongside an exclusive new edition produced exclusively for Ensemble, printed in a four-colour custom neon silkscreen.
Join us on Friday 28 June 6–9pm to inaugurate this ambitious new installation, with wine being poured by our friends Ivresse.
