Tealia Ellis Ritter – The Model Family

Ensemble is pleased to present an immersive installation by American artist Tealia Ellis Ritter, to accompany the publication of her book The Model Family (Loose Joints, 2022).
The Model Family is an oblique and challenging exploration of intergenerational family dynamics. Mixing memory time, the past and present through performative and intimate images with four generations of the artist’s family, photographed by Ellis Ritter from her adolescence until today. Presented at Ensemble is a facsimile reproduction of Ellis Ritter’s studio walls, which captures the artist’s process of editing and printing for this ambitious, thirty-year project.

Accompanying this installation is an exclusive limited edition print, signed and editioned by the artist.
